The Department of Environment Protection, Nature Conservation and Waste Management of the Komárom-Esztergom County Government Office has granted a single environmental permit to our company’s cathode material plant in Acs.

Once we have the permit, we will submit our application for a full building permit as the next step in the project.

The cathode plant in Acs, which will create 900 new jobs, is expected to start production in May 2025. The first phase will produce 50,000 tonnes of cathode material per year.

Thanks to advanced process design and technology, cathode production is safe and risk-free. The materials are handled, transported, stored and used in a closed chain, in a safe environment and in compliance with strict safety standards.
